Setting up Outlook Express for Macintosh

Outlook Express is a popular POP email software from Microsoft which is available
on both Windows and Macintosh platforms. This tutorial shows you how to configure
Macintosh Outlook Express 6 to retrieve mail from your Dollarhost email account.
Start your
Outlook Express 6 software. Click 'Tools' and select 'Accounts'.
On the
Accounts page, click 'New' to start the Account Setup Assistant.

On the
Your Name page, enter the email sender's name as the Display name and click
the right arrow to continue.

On the
Internet E-mail Address page, select 'I already have an e-mail address that
I'd like to use.' and click the right arrow to continue.
On the
E-mail Server Names page, select POP as your incoming server type and enter
the incoming and outgoing mail servers and then click the right arrow to continue.

(Note: the "%" character used in the Logon User
Name is NOT a typo) |

mail.yourdomain.com |

(Replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name) |
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): |

On the
Internet Mail Logon page, enter userID%yourdomain.com as your Account ID and
your email account password and then click the right arrow to continue.
(Note: the "%" character used in the Logon User Name
is NOT a typo)

On the
Congratulations page enter a name for this email account profile within Outlook
Express and click 'Finish'.

Your Email
Accounts window will now display the account that was just created.
