from the ground up with speed and security in mind, taking advantage of object
oriented code, highly-optimized SQL queries, and the fast PHP engine. A comprehensive
administration control panel is included to help you keep your board running
smoothly. Moderators will also enjoy the full range of options available to

Part A - Downloading the Script
The
script can be downloaded from the Invision Power Board website at http://www.invisionboard.com/download.cgi?subc=trial.
The
file that you will download is saved in .zip format; this is a compressed
bundle containing the files in the Invision Power Board distribution. Unpack this archive
in a temporary directory on your computer using a decompression software.

Part B - Uploading Files to Server
Start
your FTP software and after connecting to your web server and create a new folder
on your server named /forum in the /var/www/html/ folder for your Invision
Power Board files.

In your
unpacked Invision Power Board files you will find a folder called /upload.
Upload the entire contents of the /upload folder to your /forum
folder on your server.

In your
/forum folder on your server, set the file permissions of the folders
/archive_in, /archive_out and /uploads to 7-5-5 or:
- Owner: Allow Read, Write, and Execute
- Group: Allow Read and Execute
- Others: Allow Read and Execute
To change file permissions using CuteFTP, select the folder by clicking on
it once on the remote system side and then right-click on the file to bring
up the option menu and select CHMOD.

In your
/forum folder on your server, set the file permissions of the conf_global.php
